Nov. 21 Lecture on The Role of Schooling in Contemporary Struggles for Social Equality

The St. Clair Drake Center for African and African-American Studies, with generous financial support from Robert and Rose Johnson, is sponsoring a lecture by R. L'Heureux Lewis-McCoy, PhD, an assistant professor of sociology and black studies at the City College of New York-CUNY.  Professor Lewis-McCoy’s forthcoming book– Inequality in the Promised Land – will be published this summer by Stanford University Press. 

The lecture is free and open to the public. It begins at 5:30 p.m. on November 21 on the 10th floor of the Auditorium Building, in the Murray-Green Library.
