Resources for the Test of Academic Proficiency

The College of Education has purchased the ILTS Online Course and Practice Tests from Longsdale Publishing.  This online test preparation resource provides support for passing the math, language arts, and reading sections of the Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP).  All COE students who have not yet passed or taken this test are strongly encouraged to use it prepare for meeting the admission requirement to teacher preparation programs.

To access this resource please locate the following URL with your web browser: This URL will direct you to a Web page welcoming you to the ILTS Online Course and Practice Tests. Click on the “Register NEW Account” button. You will need to register using the following information:

School Number: 29334
School Key:         rusuccess

After entering this information, the next screen to appear will require you to enter an e-mail address and your first and last name in the spaces provided.  Then you will enter your Roosevelt University ID number. When you have completed the registration process, you will be issued a user name and password. Since you will be asked to enter a user name and password each time you log in, it is important that you keep a copy in a safe place.

After logging into the program for the first time, we encourage you to begin with the section entitled “Introduction to ILTS.” This section will introduce you to the course and offer suggestions on how to get the most out of the instruction and practice tests. The program is flexible, so after reading the instructions you can begin working through the material from the beginning covering all sections, or you can navigate to areas of specific need.

If you have questions about the use of this program, contact the Academic Success Center or your advisor at either campus.
