Saturday Courses for K-8 Students Begin Oct. 4 in Schaumburg


Saturday Courses for K-8 Students
9 a.m. to Noon at the Schaumburg Campus
                Session 1: Oct. 4 – Nov. 22, 2014                                

Choose from 3 course options, each 8 weeks in length:

1)              SILE 001 - Accelerated Literacy.  This accelerated reading and writing workshop focuses on literature that is above current reading level, and organizes students to collaborate with like-minded peers. Enrollment is limited to 20 students; a letter of recommendation is required.  The tuition is $280.  Grades 1-5.
2)              SILE 002 - Literacy Enhancement.  This individualized academic support program focuses on age-and grade-appropriate literature, and organizes students to acquire reading, writing, listening and speaking strategies. Enrollment is limited to 20 students; a recommendation letter is not required.  The tuition is $280.  Grades K-8.
3)              SILE 003 - Digital Literacy.  This program focuses on using programming tools that allow students to develop, design, and code their own computer programs.   Enrollment is limited to 12 students; previous experience is not required.  The tuition is $350.  Grades 4 – 7.  More information is at www.codeplaylearn.com.
