COE Students Nominated for National Honor Society

The College of Education is now collaborating with Pi Lambda Theta (PLT) to nominate students for membership in this education-focused honor society.  Pi Lambda Theta is the most selective national honor society for educators, and eligibility for membership is based on grade point average. Students should check their RU email for the invitation to become a part of PLT.

Because PLT is the most prestigious honor society in the education field, membership instantly sets you apart from the crowd and can enhance your résumé as you apply for jobs. PLT also provides tailored resources to help you grow professionally, including:

·         A subscription to Educational Horizons, which provides you with practical information that
you can use in your classroom to become a better teacher
·         Opportunities to travel abroad and learn about education in other countries
·         Recognition and funding through PLT’s numerous scholarship and awards programs
·         Networking opportunities through online communities and local chapters.
